Campeones de Europa

It's a delay post about Euro 2012 final match. I watched this match in my room, sadly all by myself :( but the result has drawn a big smile on my face :D

SPAIN HAS SUCCESSFULLY RETAINED THE EURO CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!

Del Bosque's squad played furiously well and bring down their opponent, Italy, with 4 goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres, and Juan Mata.

With this result, Spain has claimed three major international tournament in a row (Euro 2008, World Cup 2010, Euro 2012). It's a new history on international football championship. They're also becoming the first team who can retain the Euro champion title.

Another great news came from Fernando Torres (Spain striker), who's named as the top scorer of this championship with 3 goals for 189 minutes playing time. El Nino is back! :)

While writing this post, I read an article said that UEFA has chosen Andrés Iniesta (Spain's midfielder) as the best player of the tournament. Moreover, UEFA also released its list of 23 man-squad of the tournament, including 10 players from Spain football team. They are Casillas (Goalkeeper), Pique - Ramos - Jordi Alba (Defenders), Xavi - Iniesta - Busquets - Xabi Alonso (Midfielders), Fábregas - Silva (Forwards).

It's quite a big party for Spain football squad since they brought home too many things worth to celebrate for.

IMHO, Casillas is the hero for this squad. He's a charming and dependable captain. During the tournament, Casillas just failed once for guarding his goalpost. It was on Spain first match against Italy. In this case, penalty drama with Portugal on semi final is an exception.

The players' sons & daughters also joined the party on the field after the final match. These toddlers were wearing Spain jersey with their daddies' number. It's too cute to be seen! ;)

Hats off for the best national football team on the moment. Felicidades España! Viva La Furia Roja!
