7 things I love about Eid (Lebaran)

1) Food Galore

All my favorite food on the same table. 

Especially there will be an enormous amount of beef Rendang cooked by my grandma!

2) Countless jar of cookies

Non-stop munching. All day long.

3) The 'new' outfit!

Wearing new clothes on Lebaran day has been a tradition since... I don't know when. Batik is on top of my mind this year and I already saw some pretty pieces on Zalora (and they currently on sale too!) xD

4) Forgive and be forgiven

Don't look back in anger, it's a good day indeed.

5) Goodbye traffic jam!

Uber friendly traffic in Jakarta (normally lasts for 3-4 days only), because almost half of its residents are celebrating Lebaran at their hometown.

6) Extra allowances

For children: get extra money from their parents, grandparents, aunties or uncles.

For adult: earn the 13th salary from your employer!

7) It's a holy-day

I'm a big fan of holiday, those happiest days of the year.

7 things I love about "Can't Stop"

After a year going around for Blue Moon World Tour, CNBLUE finally made a comeback and released their 5th mini album last week. The title track Can't Stop is written, composed, produced by the multi-talented musician (and also the band leader), Jung Yong Hwa. This mini album consists of 6 songs, Yong Hwa contributed in 5 songs and guitarist Jong Hyun dropped one of his self composed song.

If you listened to their music since 4 years ago, you might would have the same experience as I am right now. Yes, they've grown up. Can't Stop is so fresh, well-making, surprisingly sweet with catchy lyrics and melody. I'll give you my 7 things I love about this song and mini album.

1) Twisted surprise
"Don't judge a book by its cover", we heard that popular quote a lot didn't we? To describe Can't Stop I prefer to say: "Don't judge a song by its first verse". It's a perfect song for welcoming bright and colorful spring after a stormy snowy gloomy winter.

2) Bridge part
As I mentioned earlier, Can't Stop is a twisted song. It begins with a mellow weepy lyrics and melody, but once it hits the chorus you can feel how energized this song is. That's why I love the bridge part, as the drum's beat along with strings instruments are increasing the tempo gradually.

3) Self composed
I have no reason to not to love Yong Hwa's self composed songs. Especially his love songs.

4) Once in a while front line drummer
The drummer, Kang Min Hyuk, is my fav member from this band. As the drummer he's always hidden far away on the back. But now he finally has a chance to switch spot and become the front liner of the band (or at least has his own upper stage). YEAY!

5) Live interactions
Just a week before the release date, all of the members went public with their own Twitter account. They've been used @CNBLUE_4 together, now it feels more lively once they post an update from their own account. Even following, retweeting or reply a comment from their seniors or colleagues. They also held a guerilla Q&A with fans recently! #CantStop tweeting about #CNBLUE huh?

6) CN in suits
For this comeback promo, the boys look so dashingly handsome in a clean cut suit. It always be my fav concept. Even though I raised one of my eyebrows when they wore the mango-peach color suits on the first part of their music video. More over, sometimes I closed one of my eyes when I saw they're dressed in a pattern suits for their "Before Midnight in NY" teaser pictures. Other than that... you can see my eyes shining :)

7) Well executed marketing
At first I thought this mini-album would have a weak concept because it's so silly when their company already released a statement that they would comeback at the end of February but they're not shoot the music video yet. It feels like the company racing over something. The first and second pictures they took in NY doesn't seem related with the music video teaser which released a week after. So it's so hard to guess the main concept. But once the music video and the whole album package came out, I don't even give a damn about the concept. They has wrapped up their tour in America at the end of January, so they got a chance to be featured in a documentary show in Mnet America and promoting their new album on the west side. They just finished a successful world tour for a year, so they has gained a lot of new listeners around the world. They teamed up with SBS for an exclusive all live comeback show and  appeared as a special guest in a popular variety show "Running Man"(plus win the race!). They asked another famous artists to listen to their pre-released songs and gave comments about the songs. Even though now they're competing with two big girls group (Girls' Generation & 2NE1) while promoting their new songs, I still believe they will have a shot.

7 things I Love About The Lego Movie

I watched The Lego Movie last night. I didn't have a big expectation for this movie and it's not my choice to wrap up the night at a cinema, but I just followed my friends' plan all along. While waited for the movie to begin, my friend checked the imdb score and it got 8.8! Wow it's quite high. After fully enjoyed the 100 mins of pure happiness inside the theater, I walked out from the cinema and understood why everyone will love this movie.

1) The Plot : Simplicity
The story is so simple and not that special. It's too light for our under pressure-hard work-brain, yet it's still enjoyable and refreshing. The movie is about an ordinary guy who's chosen to save the world from the bad guy (Lord Business or President Business), based on a prophecy. The special one. We heard that kind of plot too many times right? Well, at first it sounds so similar with Harry Potter to me, but the truth it is not. You have to watch the movie first, I won't spill any spoilers here :)



2) The Main Character: Emmet
Emmet is just an ordinary contractor worker who lives happily lonely based on the instructions day by day. He's your friendly neighbor, full of smile, has a positive mind, never breaks the rules, but he blends too well until he rarely being noticed or remembered by everyone. Who's Emmet? No one can said something about him more than one or two sentences. I love how the creator pick Emmet as the main character, because he might be one of us in a real world.



3) The Jokes
They're not trying too much to be funny. Most of them are just old school jokes, but hey we love them.



4) The Other Characters
Our famous favorite character are there! Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Superman, Dumbledore, Gandalf, even Little Mermaid, Shaquille O'Neill, Abraham Lincoln, and my hero Captain Sulu! My fav characters beside Emmet are the quirky Batman and bad cop/good cop.





5) The Final Message
Everyone is special if they're believe in themselves. I guess that's the core message of the movie, please correct me if I'm wrong.



6) The Song
It's the best part! Bet this song will stuck in your mind until... you heard another new catchy song. Tegan & Sara feat. The Lonely Island are awesome!



7) The Lego
Colorful bricks? Complete forms? Moving? Childhood fantasy is come true!

7 things on my survival kit this weekend

I stuck on my bed during this Chinese New Year holiday. I've got stomachache since last Thursday along with the fever (come and go). Yesterday, doctor claimed I have diarrhea. But now I doubt it since I doesn't feel much yet better even if I already ate a lot and took the medicine. To make it short I feel like crap and I hate being sick T_T

On a silver lining, I have 3 days to spend with myself. Is it a yeay? Probably, or honestly: yes (maybe?).  I feel bad that I have to cancel my Sunday brunch and turn down my friends' offer to go out, but I think I need some rest for a while.

There are still lots of fun things to do while I'm laying lazily on my bed, as long as I have my mac; my iphone; books; electricity; along with good and stable internet connection.

1) Sherlock

I just finished the whole Sherlock series from BBC. I wasn't aware that this series has existed since 2010 until everyone brought it up and wrote "He's comeback" on social media early this year. I've been enjoying this series so far. I always love to watch detective series and how they great minds can solve complicated crimes. I recommend you to watch this series too, in case you haven't.

2) A Beautiful Mess

It's a blog founded and written by Elsie and Emma. What I love about this blog is there's so many topics you can choose according to your interests. You can find crafts, photography, recipes, decor, fashion, and beauty! As for me, I've found many things I look for. Here's some of my fav posts from this blog:

4) Blue Moon

CNBLUE Blue Moon Word Tour has officially ended yesterday morning (Jakarta local time, GMT +7) at Chile. I'm still scrolling my twitter timeline for the band's latest update from Chile this weekend. Well, honestly it's so envious when I saw some of Chilean fans were able to meet them almost freely and leisurely. Managed to get their sign, even took a picture together when they're having a photo shoot schedule at Santa Lucia Hill. The recent news is they already bound to go back to their hometown now. They have been travel around the world (exclude Europe and Africa though) since April last year, completed 20 shows in 18 cities. Sad? A little. But they will release a new full-length album soon (this month expected) and I'm still rooting for an encore.

5) The Happiness Project

I'm currently reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Unlike any other books I've read, I have decided to read one chapter per month. Well, the book consists of Rubin's happiness project since January through December, so I tried to follow the good actions plan each month.

6) BuzzFeed

What's not to love about this web? Aside from the Pop Quizzes, I love to read Buzzfeed's article. They can be heavy as a boat or light as a feather. It's your choice. Here's some of BuzzFeed's articles I had read this weekend:

I started this year without a single resolution, yet I accomplished many things from my bucket list.

1) Japan Trip : Osaka-Tokyo-Kyoto

2) Found a new job (in a coffee shop)

3) Paid all my travel expenses with my own money

4) Watched CNBLUE live stage (world tour & arena tour in Japan)

5) Wanderlust hit 10,000 views

6) Met lots of nice new people in my cray blue world

7) Got to know myself better: an introvert. That statement had solved so many questions in my head.

What should I do next year? Still will be going without resolutions list and big expectation, but...

 I'm ready to turn some of my dreams into reality :)

It's Saturday, time to post something I love about! Since I'm still on "ChanBo-I miss them-drama writer please make spin-off series for this couple" blues, I will share my 7 favorite lines or scenes of Chan Young & Bo Na from the recent ended K-drama, The Heirs.

1) Chan Young likes to tease Bo Na (Ep 3)

Chan Young & Eun Sang took a picture together at Universal Studio, LA.

ES : Are you uploading it on your SNS?

CY : Yeah, to show you something cool.

ES : What is it?

CY : Count to three.

ES : 1, 2, 3

*Bo Na calling*

CY : See that? Isn't it cute? 

ES : Do you want to die? Do you want to see me get my hair pulled out by Lee Bo Na?

CY : Oh, that sounds fun!

ES : You're going to die!

CY : Wait a minute.. Hello? (answering Bo Na phone call)

BN : Hey are you crazy? Why is Cha Eun Sang there? What are you doing with Cha Eun Sang?

CY : I'm with Cha Eun Sang, thinking about you! What else would I be doing?

2) Bo Na lied, but Chan Young knew all the way (Ep 5)

Kim Tan (Bo Na's ex-bf) back to Korea, Myung Soo told her about the news.

MS : Hey! Hey Lee Bo Na!

BN : What's wrong? (while walked with Chan Young)

MS : Don't be too surprised..

BN : Don't blocked the hallway!

MS : Kim Tan is back in Korea!

*BN tried to hide her "oh my god" face, Myung Soo snapped a picture of her*

MS : Ahh, a crucial moment.

*BN made a gesture "you will die" to Myung Soo*

MS : (to Chan Young) You need to watch out.

CY : (looked at Bo Na) What's with you?

BN : Huh? I was singing in my head. What did he say?

CY : He said Kim Tan is back in Korea.

BN : Who? Oh, the kid whom you saw in LA? Oh, but I wonder what name of the song was... The song I was singing in my head... I'm really frustrated that I can't remember the title, so I'm going to go and ask Ye Sol. Okay? (BN walked away)

CY : What song is it? GOD'S "Lie"? Big Bang's "Lie"? T-Ara's "Lie"?

3) Bo Na hated Kim Tan, she wanted to avoid him badly (Ep 6)

Kim Tan met with Chan Young at Myung Soo's play room. Bona walked in.

BN: Chan Young-aaa! 

*saw Chan Young with Kim Tan, she pretend to answer a phone call and walked out. Chan Young looked at her with a smile*

KT : I think Lee Bo Na still has feelings for me.

CY : Why would anyone avoid a beaten-up car out of regret?

4) Bo Na is cute, Chan Young loves it (Ep 7)

Chan Young and Eun Sang studied together at school library.

ES : Hurry and go, Bo Na might get angry.

CY : Bo Na doesn't get angry, everything about her is cute.

5) Chan Young & Bo Na glued to each other (Ep 12)

Chan Young & Bo Na entered the school gym for PE class together.

CY : Did you listen well in class?

BN : No, I couldn't because you weren't there.

CY : Look at you lying! (while gave a small pinch on Bo Na's cheek)

6) Bo Na & Chan Young's way to end the cold war (Ep 14)

Bo Na on her duty as an announcer at school broadcasting studio talking to Eun Sang and Hyo Shin about Chan Young .

BN : (to Eun Sang) Did you tell Chan Young that I've been reflecting?

HS : 2 minutes and 40 secs before broadcast.

ES : Last time, you said you wouldn't accept my directing.

BN : Hey! I thought you and Chan Young were friends. Didn't you hear anything about me?

ES : That's what makes Yoon Chan Young so manly, and such a nice person.

BN : Do you really want Chan Young and I to break up?

HS : I do, chatting is prohibited. 2 minutes and 10 seconds until broadcast. (he secretly turned on the broadcast button)

BN : Sunbaenim! Hey Cha Eun Sang! Can you tell Yoon Chan Young that I'm really reflecting on it a lot? Lately I've been suffocating, Chan Young is my air, without him beside me, am I able to breathe? I feel like I'm in outer space.. But then the broadcast... the light is on! Oh my God! Sunbaenim! No! (Chan Young and the entire school heard everything)

*Bo Na walked on school hallway tried to cover her face, bumped to Chan Young. She ran away*

CY : Hey, Lee Bo Na! Where are you going? I have something to say. (while tried to catch Bo Na)

BN : Don't say it! I won't listen to it! You're going to break up with me!

CY : That's not it, stop for a while!

BN : Don't chase me! I won't listen!

*Chan Young giggled and ran towards Bo Na*

7) Chan Young got jealous (3 parts)

 - Part 1 (Ep 17)

Chan Young, Bo Na, Myung Soo, and Young Do hung out at play room. Myung Soo talked about the DJ line up of a party. Young Do mentioned something about music and girls. 

CY : Girls are music.

BN : Then what type of music am I for you, honey?

CY : Hmmm.. Carols? 

MS : Death Metal.

BN : Come here, you deserve it! (tried to punch Myung Soo)

MS : If you take one more step towards me.. I'm going to steal you from Chan Young!

*Chan Young stood up and grabbed Myung Soo's clothes*

CY : What makes you think you said that?

BN : Heol! He got jealous.

MS : Heol! I got used.

- Part 2 (Ep 19)

Chan Young & Bo Na at Kim Tan's birthday party, surprisingly met Bo Na's brother. Chan Young thought Bo Na cheated on him.

BN :  Say hi, he is...

CY : Lee Bo Na! I knew you would do this, didn't I say I'll break your legs?

BN : Go ahead, they are yours anyway.

CY : How could you say that while linking your arms with another man? Unlink them right now!

- Part 3 (Ep 19)

Bo Na & Eun Sang met up with boys from another school to discuss about their partnership for broadcasting club. Kim Tan & Chan Young came and interrupted.

X : You have a good personality. Do you have a boyfriend?

KT : Honey? (to X&Y) She's married. Can't you see what's going on? Leave.

Y : We didn't even discuss about the festival yet.

X : Let's just go for today, (to Bo Na) I will call you back.

CY : Don't even think about it.

*X & Y out of scene*

KT : Lee Bo Na! What are you doing with my girlfriend in broad daylight?

BN : I'm speechless.

CY : (to Kim Tan) Why take it out on her? Eun Sang's not exactly Mother Theresa, she craves men.

ES : Yoon Chan Young! Stop making stuff!

BN : (to Eun Sang) Why are you yelling at Chan Young?

KT : (to Bo Na) You have no right to speak.

BN : Don't talk to me, I'm not your girlfriend.

CY : Then stop seeing other boys.

KT : Damn right.

OH MY GOD, they're too cute and adorable! I had to bite my pillow to bear their cheesiness.

I heard a news that SBS will be airing The Heirs Christmas Special next Wednesday. Whoa! I'm rooting for another ChanBo's lovey dovey moments!

7 Things I Love About 윤찬영

The Heirs has ended last Thursday. No more longing for my midweek happy pills : the most lovely and adorable screen couple on drama land, Yoon Chan Young & Lee Bo Na. But even before the drama started almost 3 months ago, based on the character description, I already put a close attention on Yoon Chan Young. Pardon my affectional biased for the actor, but maybe from the list I've made below, Chan Young's truly the boyfriend that every girls want.

1. He's a top class student (and class president too)

2. He has the ultimate killer eye-smile

3. He's a supportive and loyal friend

4. He's just a middle class boy, surrounded by the richest kids in town at school, but he gained everyone's respect because he's smart and have a good attitude 

5. He loves his dad for life, a son to be proud of

6. He can cook

7. He's (the most) a sweet, loving, charming, endearing, and faithful boyfriend (...I've ever known)

I stucked with work the whole weekend, so I'm taking a day off today to regain my energy :)

1. There's always be a comfortable corner for a loner visitor

2. Warm and homey atmosphere

3. The right place to be more productive (working or having a quality talk with best friends)

4. I able to drown in my own world for hours in a public place and no one complain

5. There's no weirdo here, there's only a bunch of different types of people

6. Cozy music
